Conard died 1960; Audie died 1972, both in Dalton, GA. They are both buried near Conard's parents, John (Pap) and Martha (Green) Pellom, in the Sumac Church Cemetery, Cisco, GA. Cisco is on U.S. Hwy. 411 approximately ten miles south of the TN border.
The one or two times I can remember my Dad giving any affection was when he sat me on his knee in front of this fireplace. I would have sat about where August's left hand is in this photo. August is the current owner of the land this fireplace is situated on. ~ Ben
